A Euro-American Dedication To Motorcycling

Inspired by his three older brothers, all motorcycle crazed, Andreas Dudda "grew up" on the German Autobahn as well as the picturesque country roads of Sweden. After owning a number of bikes of his own, he took a long hiatus from the sport. Much later, after 20+ years in California, he renewed his love for the lifestyle and now produces fine and truly unique products for the faithful. Manufactured to the highest standards and utilizing the latest technology, these products combine old world craftsmanship and attention to detail with design themes echoing the American biker culture. Escape the ordinary...escape on the Midnight Express.

What's In A Name?

Where on Earth does that unorthodox company name come from, you might ask. Well, there is a story behind it, as you will find out shortly. If you have ever had the opportunity to watch the Academy Award winning film Midnight Express, you might already understand the meaning. If not, let me fill you in. Without hopefully taking away too much from the plot of this true-story cult-classic, let me describe a scene for you.

Set in the smoke-filled dungeon-like hell of a Turkish prison, our protagonist is spending what appears to be the rest of his miserable life in constant fear of torture by the corrupt and sadistic prison guards. He's a victim of sinister plots weaved by this foreign "judicial" system, unfriendly inmates and mentally disturbed assassins. He tries to initiate his two trusted compatriots into one of his many plans to escape.

One of his friends, a tall skinny Swede, understands the well-meaning of these, to him, misguided and feeble attempts toward freedom, and dismisses this latest brainstorm as yet another delusional scheme. The Swede advises him to just let it all go and to accept his fate of spending the rest of his life in this forgotten place of brutality and desperation; beyond the grasp of consulates and ambassadors; untouchable even by the U.S. Government's attempts at intervention. No, the Swede advises; wiser is it to just light up some good hashish, and simply drift away.  But our man wants the real thing.  He wants the true escape.  An escape to freedom, commonly referred to by fellow escape minded inmates as "taking the Midnight Express."

Living in this fast paced, oftentimes troubled world, it is good . . .no, it is essential to have an outlet, a hobby, an escape from the mundane everyday life that suppresses you in one way or another. For me, one of these escapes, these flights from reality is the motorcycle and all that circles around it. When I think of my bike, or its next modification, I take the Midnight Express. When I work on it, I take the Midnight Express. When I saddle up for parts unknown I . . .well, I'm sure you have caught on by now.

So, join me my brother. Join me physically or join me in spirit. All Aboard! Let's escape together! Let's escape on the Midnight Express
